hahahahahahaha

Oh my god, Robin Thicke on Oprah today made me laugh so hard. He danced too, but I couldn't capture it.

time to buy a lottery ticket

I'm having an incredible string of good luck lately. I really need to get my Lesley application in before this wears off. But first, I'm trying my hand at the lotto. If I win big enough, maybe I won't bother going back to school.

Lucky things that have happened to me recently:

1. I got a job today!! I'm a functioning member of society again. I can pay for goods and services! My manicurist is getting a visit asap.

2. I think some kid I know has a crush on me. Pros: good taste in flowers (see photo). Cons: does not respect my wishes to QUIT READING MY BLOG and I feel profoundly embarassed about it.

3. I think I found an apartment! I was really getting scared of my impending homelessness, but now my fears are set to rest.
Yep, I'm back on top. Take that, Universe.

The Red Line

Yesterday, I had one of the worst T experiences of my life. And that's saying a lot, considering that I've seen a homeless man wet himself recently.

I was on the red line, going through the Kendall stop, when I noticed the distinct and strong smell of smoke. It was kind of weird but I wasn't too worried until we got to Central, when we saw that the entire station was filled with smoke (see picture) and the conductor announced that we all had to get off the train. Still, no one was too upset, until we had been waiting for a few minutes and the doors to the train still hadn't opened. All of a sudden, everyone started coming to the conclusion that we were trapped, and we still didn't know if anything - the train itself, or maybe the station - was on fire. Everyone was yelling at the conductor to open the doors, and all of the babies started screaming, and I thought, honestly, this is how I'm going to die. I'm either going to burn in this train, or get trampled by this crowd.

In the end, the doors did open, we all got out and it was fine. I don't even think anything was on fire, although I'm not sure where the smoke was coming from. We just got on the next train and nothing unusual happened.
Still...I feel like I narrowly escaped death. Who would have taken care of my blog??

On Assignment: PA Dutch Country

Today was my first full day at home for the Holiest of Weekends, and let me tell you: the air is sweet. It smells like love here in the tri-county area. It also smelled like manure this morning when I first stepped outside, but it is that season, so I shouldn't have been surprised.

Here are some pictures from our family trip to the Green Dragon Farmer's Market. Ahhhmazing.

Tomorrow, look for more installments like The Beams Do Some Grilling, and Nana's Retirement Home.

Iran

My life is so boring right now, I feel like I never have anything to blog. In light of this dry spell, please enjoy the following video clips. Everyone could use some laughter in this dark world.

Who IS Myra St. Clair?

Gentle readers, I beseech you. Help me solve the mystery Myra St. Clair. If you look to your right you will see my charming and beautiful list of "blog followers," limited mostly to my BFFs and Cassie. But, for quite a while now, there has been an extra follower. A rogue, a stranger. Her name is Myra St. Clair, and I don't know anything else about her.

My first theory was that perhaps Myra serves the same role as the infamous Tom, everyone's first friend on MySpace. But - I don't know. It doesn't appear to be the case.

My second theory (and this one probably is the right one) is that Myra is actually Matt Wolfe in disguise. Classic.

My third theory (most far-fetched of all) is that I'm actually reaching the masses, and Myra is just an electronic passerby who liked what she found here. But let's be real. I'm not reaching the masses.
So, I'm calling on you, Myra. Reveal yourself. Set my mind at ease.
